I wrote a review: https://www.olympicpistol.com/sport-qua ... et-review/
Really nice software interface. Did not have a chance to shoot much in it. My biggest fear is the life of the plastic that the pellets hit and the price of new sheets.
Price last year was €2160 plus taxes.

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
Sport Quantum lists the price at 2160 euro
https://www.olympicpistol.com/sport-qua ... et-review/
VAT in France is 20%
https://vatcalculator.eu/france-vat-calculator/
Euro to dollars currency conversion = 1:1.13
Price is 2160 + 20% VAT x 1.13 currency conversion, then add freight, maybe 100$ (?)
= $3,029 ?? depending on accuracy of freight estimate
It has cool games, but it is priced up there with the others (SIUS, Konsberg, Meyton etc).

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
Remember that if they're selling from France to US then they will not charge VAT (but you might have import duty/taxes)

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
Do they ship from France to other countries. I had made enquires through one of the firms mentioned here in this thread and had a prompt and friendly reply BUT the freight from the country was the killer!
Im quite keen on one of these as they have reviewed well and lookmto be a very smart unit for home use.
Thanks guys.

SportShootingDepot is an official US dealer for SportQuantum and we have quite a few of the SQ10 targets in US warehouse ready to ship next day for personal use or clubs. Can do a proper multi-lane club installations with centralized control - let us know what you are looking for and we will put together a package deal for you.dontshootcritters wrote: ↑Fri Jun 04, 2021 5:17 pm Do they ship from France to other countries. Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
This thread is several years old, but hopefully that means they've worked out any bugs, and folks have had plenty of time to see how well they hold up, any quirks, etc. I'm particularly interested in any comments from users of a club system with lots of targets.
The college team I help coach is looking into getting electronic air pistol targets. We currently borrow the Rifle Team's SIUS system for matches, and it's a royal pain in the neck to work with. We usually have to move monitors or targets with all the cables to set up for 10 meters, and then move it all back. Because we have more than 10 lanes, the system is split, and it takes three computers running three different programs to run a match. Although we've never lost shot data, I've had various programs crash in mid-match.
Whatever system we end up with, we will need to be able to quickly set the targets up, and then pack them all away at the end of a match. Many systems are designed to be hung on a wall in a dedicated range, and not moved around. Our range is 50 feet, and is used for beginner .22 pistol Physical Education classes, and NOTHING downrange is safe. The SQ10 targets using wireless at least gets rid of all the networking cables the SIUS system requires. Our range has a fixed firing line with permanent benches, so we would need to mount the targets on stands of some sort. The SQ10 has folding stands, which would be perfect. Our biggest headache will be storage space, and the stands look like they would be pretty compact when collapsed.
In looking at other brands of targets, one of them also uses wireless, but they don't recommend having more than 5 lanes that way, presumably due to interference or data lag. They have Ethernet as an option for larger numbers of targets. Does the SQ10 system have a similar limitation, or will it work wireless with 15 targets running at once?
Thanks for any info or feedback you can provide!

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
It's been forever and a day since I have shot on the MIT range. The targets themselves are easy to move and you can have a rack that could store the targets against the wall (like you would typically mount them for firing). The tripods they sell are robust, but they don't fold up all that well. The top portion is fixed once you mount it. I have no idea how the system works with multiple targets.
If you are interested in seeing one in action, I would be happy to show it to you. We shoot in Augusta though (about 2.5hrs) from Boston depending on the traffic. We typically shoot on Fridays.

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
Thanks for the info. There aren't really any free walls to park them on, at least not 15 of them. I'll have to take a closer look at the stands on-line. The one place we could park the stands is on the back of the firing line, down low enough that a shot through the bench wouldn't hit them...
I've been toying with getting an electronic target for my own basement range, and might buy one of whatever we decide on to test out. If the Quantum is the top candidate, I might take you up on the offer of a first hand look see.

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
They are great targets and packed as self contained units, with the included pellet catcher and tray, tablet, etc. It is my preferred system for home use. Many clubs are using them in Europe and are happy with them.
To set them up quickly , just get them with the tripods the company provides. They are sturdy and super easy to work with.
Or you can make a rack on wheels.
Check out the install at ASTir Creil with single and 5 target rapid fire targets https://www.astircreil.com/2022/10/27/% ... %9F%9A%A8/

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
I typically don't bring my SQ on Fridays, but if you want to come up to Augusta I'll send you an IM with my contact info. We are typically at the range from 4ish - 7ish.

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
We run 14 SIUS targets at our range in AZ. Only takes about 5 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to break down and store. We do have the advantage of the pellet traps being secured to the wall, so that we don't have to set those up. We just hang the targets on the pellet traps, set the monitors on the benches and run everything with one laptop. Since there are 14 targets, we use two power supplies and 2 routers. Not understanding why you need 3 computers to run a match. We run 10 Lane Command Desk and show all 14 on one monitor. Or, we run shooteronline.net and show all lanes on one monitor.
I'll admit that if you have to use stands to hold the pellet traps, it is going to take a bit more effort to set up and take down. But it seems, per your description, that you have that problem regardless of what target system you select.

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
The Rifle Team's system has two large screen monitors in our "Ready Room." You need two laptops running 10 Lane Command Desk to talk to those, plus the one running SIUS Data & SIUS Rank. We have two power supplies, and a network bridge tying it all together.
Because the Rifle team shoots smallbore at 50 feet, and air at 10 meters, we often have to move the targets (which have lifters for 3 position rifle), and or the monitors, with all the associated power & network cables. I frequently have no help, and it can take me up to 2 hours to reconfigure everything, and get the software loaded and working. Because we are only borrowing the system, we are required to keep the small bore shields installed even when we are only shooting air pistol. We also frequently have to remove the rubber smallbore sheets from inside, and replace them when we are done. We never know very much in advance A) what configuration the Rifle Team will leave them in, B) what changes they have made to the network and video connections without telling us, and C) what configuration they want them left in when we are done. If we want to keep using the system, I have to make absolutely certain everything is reconnected the way they want, data cleared from the monitors, and all lanes tested. The cables are not designed to be constantly disconnected & reconnected, and any time one gets damaged, it's often assumed to be our fault. I've replaced half a dozen power cords where the insulation has pulled out of the plugs, exposing the inner wires. The network cables are only slightly more rugged. The whole setup process for SIUS Data & SIUS Rank is WAY more complex than it should be. EVERY time we run a match, it's a miracle if nothing goes wrong. We only get to use it for a match 4 or 5 times a year, so it's very difficult to get comfortable with the system.
If we get a system for the pistol range, we won't have to deal with some the same issues, but absolutely NOTHING can be left downrange between sessions. No network cables or hardware, power cords, power supplies, or stands. That's why wireless sounds so attractive, but I think with 15 targets, we we have to cable things together. At least if it's Ethernet, I can easily make custom cables, as opposed to the proprietary SIUS stuff.

Re: Sport Quantum electronic targets
If you plan to run matches then it is recommended to use wired setup for 10+ SQ10 based range and if you are planning to run matches. You can however make things simple and do some cable management to tie them together for quick setup/ tear down and you can mount targets on a movable stand so can roll into the range (those are just regular Ethernet cables afterall). We are an official dealer of SportQuantum in US and Canada and have setup a few SQ10 ranges in US already.
Give us a call (248-722-9968) and we will gladly work with you to design a flexible SpoertQuantum range to your specifications (targets, networking, moveable stands, moveable spectator display, match/range control laptop, etc)
