Since it has a dry fire switch close it fully.

I noticed that during the recent events in Buenos Aires, Paolo Monna swapped Pardini for Steyr. I wonder why? I thought Italians were attached to their local brands.

If you're an athlete even close to Paolo Monna's level, Steyr (and other brands) will shower you with their pistols. For whatever reason, he's decided to go for a change, and since we're in a post-olympic season it's a good time to mess around and experiment.

And just because he's Italian doesn't mean he's going to use an Italian designed pistol, that's a silly assumption.
